1. The Place
The Place serves the community with financial emergency assistance, clothing, food, educational opportunities, plus numerous support services. Through their many initiatives and services, they are changing lives in Forsyth and Dawson counties of Georgia. 2. Burt’s Big Adventure
Established in 2002 by Bert Weiss, host of the nationally syndicated morning radio show, “The Bert Show”, Bert’s Big Adventure is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides a magical, all-expenses-paid, five-day journey to Walt Disney World® for children with chronic and terminal illnesses and their families. 3. FurKids
Furkids is headquartered in Atlanta, GA. It is a non-profit charitable organization that operates the largest cage-free, no-kill shelter in the Southeast. Furkids Furkids rescues more than 5,000 homeless and abandoned animals providing them with the best medical care and nurturing environment while working to find them a forever home.
4. Meals by Grace
Meals by Grace is a no cost, meal program focused to help feed children and their families. Their mission is to bring food, hope & transformation to children and families in need, with resources from our community, so that children can go to bed happy, not hungry. 5. Jesse's House
Jesse’s House Inc., is a 501(c) 3, founded in 1998 as a result of a 1996 needs assessment survey for the north Georgia region conducted by Kennesaw State University. More than just a bed, Jesse’s House provides a broad range of services including family violence outreach, case management and court support.
6. Mentor Me North Georgia, Inc.
Mentor Me North Georgia, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the diverse needs of youth in our community, particularly children ages 6 -17. The organization serves school aged children and youth by matching them to positive role models to help them grow into healthy members of our community.
7. No Longer Bound
No Longer Bound is a long-term, residential, Christ-centered program for men in addiction. The organization has a full staff of clinical therapists, recovery specialists and medical professionals dedicated to helping men overcome addiction. More importantly, they are men and women who have been impacted by addiction.
8. North Fulton Community Charities
NFCC's mission is to help ease hardship and foster financial stability in our community. NFCC assists individuals and families with emergency need in North Fulton.The communities they serve include Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park, and Roswell. 9. Angels Among Us Pet Rescue
Angels Among Us Pet Rescue is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to saving dogs and cats from shelters and high-risk situations in Georgia. This organization has rescued over 20,000 animals since 2009.
10. Next Generation Focus
Next Generation Focus' Mission is to equip the Next Generation Leaders by providing relational, financial, and educational resources. This organization is home of the anchor program at NGF, providing high-quality tutoring plus after school, Saturday, and summer programs for children and youth ages 1 to 18.
11. Lighthouse Family Retreat
Lighthouse Family Retreat is a faith-based non-profit that exists to strengthen every family living through childhood cancer. We host restorative retreats and develop helpful resources so that families and their support systems can find hope in God and help in their fight.
